Why a Chicago pizza shop is trying to bring back the old world of the diner

Chicago’s old-world diner tradition is getting a new lease on life.

The city’s Chicken House of America is opening a new location in a strip mall, and it hopes to attract diners to its cozy little place with a modern twist.

Owner Scott Geddes hopes to open a diner in the newly-renovated Old Town Center shopping center in early 2018.

It will be a full-service restaurant and will be open daily from 10 a.m. to 11 p.m., with a rotating menu of classic Chicago favorites.

Geddes said the old-school diner will serve breakfast, lunch and dinner.

It also has an eclectic menu, featuring dishes like chicken nuggets, steak and pork chops, and a vegetarian menu.

The diner will feature a full bar and wine list, as well as a full kitchen and bar.

Gedds said the diner’s interior will be rustic and modern, with reclaimed wood, brick, and metal fixtures.

He said he and his team at the Chicago-based business have been designing the restaurant for about five years, but the plan is to open it in the mall, which will be the site of the former Tudor House.

The new restaurant will have about 20 seats, Geddies said.

The eatery is expected to open by the end of the year.

It’s part of the chain of Chicago restaurants known as the Chicago Restaurant Group, which includes such chains as TGI Fridays, Little Italy and Pizza Hut.
