Swedish furniture firm Ikea, which is the largest furniture retailers in the world are to invest 600 million euros in France by 2017. Their plans include renovating some existing outlets and creating seven more new stores including a new one to be built in Paris, with plans to have pick up point to make it easier for collecting items ordeerd on line or in the stores.

IKEA’s chief executive for France, Stefan Vanoverbeke, told a news conference. “We are starting to review the feasibility of opening a store inside Paris. The project is really at an early stage as we ponder logistics and store size,”

IKEA unveiled a new line of furniture called REGISSÖR. The company claims it takes less than 5 minutes to assemble, and they even released a video showing someone putting together a bookcase in 3.5 minutes (10.10.14)

IKEA also gives back and have just donated 5.3 million euros for the fight against Ebola, which is actually more than Spain, Norway and Luxembourg all together.  (20.10.14)
